CONCRETE FLOOR STAINING F.A.Q.

  1. What's the cost?
  2. It depends on the size of the project and condition of concrete surfaces. Residential: figure $2.50 - $6.50 per square foot. Commercial projects could be even less. If the project is outside of Florida, travel and per diem charges may apply.

  3. How long does it take?
  4. Depending on the design and area involved, typical jobs take 2-3 days.

  5. Can residents stay on the premises during the work?
  6. Not advised, but possible.

  7. Can multiple colors be used?
  8. Yes! This will enhance the artistic value of your floor.

  9. How much maintenance is required?
  10. Vacuum and damp mop as needed. This surface is low-maintenance. We recommend resealing the surface every few years. Oils and spills are easily cleaned.

  11. Are sidewalks or porches stainable?
  12. Yes, but a different seal coat is applied due to moisture possibilities. Also you should be forewarned that old driveways, sidewalks and patios may not have the vibrancy of color.

  13. Where can engraving and staining be done?
  14. Nearly most concrete surfaces (interior or exterior) can be engraved and stained.

  15. Can new concrete be engraved and stained?
  16. Absolutely! New or older surfaces will improve with our concrete engraving process.

  17. How is color added to the concrete surface?
  18. We use commercial-grade reactive stains. The stains are designed to permanently penetrate the concrete surface and are available in a wide variety of colors.

  19. How thick is the finished product?
  20. Unlike other treatments, there is no additional thickness with this process. The pattern is engraved into the existing surface.

  21. How deep are the engraving cuts?
  22. The cuts simulate a grout line and range from 1/16’ to 1/8’ deep.

  23. Will the colors chip or fade?

The color will be as durable as untreated concrete. The colors may change due to long -term exposure to the elements. In some cases, colors actually look

better with age. We seal all surfaces, which prolongs the life of the stain.
